Here I will be sharing everything i'm working on, everything I am looking at/listening too/thinking about. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY PET PORTRAITS! This is my simple attempt to create a space that is decoupled from algo's that profit off of us being sad and mad. So please enjoy my recs, feel free to reply with your own recs and maybe next months ed I will do a "readers submitions" section! I think we can create a lovely comunity here, so please don't be shy! Okay lets get into it x |

My sketchbook:So late August and September have been a completely new era of drawing for me. I have been drawing without any thought of it turning into a tattoo. I've read "keys to drawings" by Dodson and been followling along and booooooy its been so fuckiiiing fun and freeing. I never traditionally learnt to draw, so coming at it from a book for beginners has been wild. I really wish I had been less "fuck learning the rules", I think I would of been a lot further on with my skillset. The page with my face in red and my legs/hand sketched is the page I started to work with this book. Maybe you can see a difference in my work post that page, I think I can. I also decided to try out gouache, mainly because I like saying it with a fancy European accent. At first I hated it. But its been a few days now of using it and I loooove it! |

name: Grizzly word from the owner: GRIZZZZZ is the best dog there is, she is a hilarious mixture of very chill, very vocal, and very sassy (and very hungry). She loves going to the beach, being chased by the boys at the park, and getting belly scritches. She is a simple lady and my very best pal 🥹 |
name: Kevin word from the owner: My dog is called Kevin! He's 6kg of pure Romanian rescue, stuck in SE London with me (Polly). Kev is 5yo and a professional low-rider with an agenda (agenda is still yet to be identified). He also has a metal plate in one of his front legs, a bionic Balkan king. |
name: Kipper word from the owner: Kipper is turning 14 years old next month. He got his name from a British picture book "Kipper the Dog". His hobbies are sleeping, looking out the window, and being spooned. If he's not touching one of his moms while we're going to bed, he will pretend to stretch in order to get closer to us and at least be in contact with one of us. He only has two teeth left so his tongue sometimes slips out when he's asleep. He doesn't like it when his mom vapes in bed so he will dig up a fake hole in the bed and use his nose to hide it from her. He is the sweetest dog in the world but would rip up a bunny to pieces if I let him. He accidentally fucked around with a skunk and quickly found out. Hence the at home bath picture. Still didn't learn his lesson, the hunting dachshund gene lives on. |

name: neighbourhood cat #1 word from the owner: I saw this cat on a walk home the other day, and I thought, I want to paint you sir. So I grabbed a short video and got loose with it. I find it a lot easier to paint cats/dogs that are not sent to me by the owners. I think there is a pressure to get the animal to look exactly the same when there is a owner waiting for the image. N that gets in the way of being super loose and fun. I am learning to ignore that tho and just be loose as possible <3 |
name: Mr.BinBin word from the owner: This is a cat drawn from my brain. Maybe one of my favourites of the bunch. Maybe because it was pressureless. I think I Just need to paint this portraits to capture the vibe of the animal and not really the exact look. That way I have a creative license to get loose. |
name: Cheddar word from the owner: My Gf's brother is commisioning me for a pet porait. N it turns out his cat is the hardest cat in the word to paint. Here are the different version I've painted. None of these are the finals. But I Love them all so plz enjoy x |
name: Cheddar word from the owner: Someone said this looks like if you had a night terror and did acid and rolled over and your sausage roll started talking to you. I agree. |
name: Cheddar word from the owner: This one looks like it should be friends with Mr.Binbin |
name: Luna word from the owner: Luna (daschund cross toy poodle- aged 5) she has the energy of royalty, she seriously knows her worth. Shes sassy, classy but so friendly and social. she loves cuddles, watching the traitors and being by my side, shes my absolute best friend and shadow. i do believe she was sent to me by an angel. Fav food: tuna |
